The Calm Before the Storm

While no one in our beautiful part of the world is expecting a Hurricane Harvey or Hurricane Irma to blow our way, the rains will be coming this year and it’s time to get ready. If you skipped the chance that your spring cleaning would include your rain gutters, you really shouldn’t be putting this off any longer.

If your existing gutters are hanging by a prayer, or some parts seem to be missing, or they’re clogged with errant leaves and all manner of detritus, they won’t be much good to you when the skies open up.  You don’t want to be standing outside your house, maybe in the dead of night, dressed in your yellow slicker and your waders, squinting and looking up at the roof line wondering why the water is coming down the side of your house in torrents. And you absolutely do not want to be on a ladder inspecting the damage. And we can pretty much guarantee that there will be damage to your house if this happens. As we all know, damage is expensive. A whole lot more expensive than, as the cowboys used to say, cutting it off at the pass.

Have you seen those ads recently on TV for gutters that keep the leaves out? We offer them, too! Please Take A Look at our UltraFlo and play the video. This is an option that just might interest you.
And if you’re thinking of sprucing up your house for the holidays, don’t forget the gutters! If they don’t look good, your house won’t look good. We’re happy to talk with you about the working part of your gutters as well as the aesthetic side. As hard as it is to believe, Thanksgiving is right around the corner. (Don’t tell the turkeys.)

We have over 35 “5 Star” reviews on Google and we’re proud of every one of them! Please give us a call at 805.267.6745 and we’ll come out and give you a free estimate on the inspection and even new gutters, if that’s what you have in mind. If we see a problem we’ll give you an estimate and fix you up on time and on your budget and with our guarantee. We won’t be undersold. Hand to heart.
And please make a note that we offer 24-hour emergency service. It wouldn’t hurt to stick our phone number up on your refrigerator.  You just never know.

We will meet all of your needs from Ojai to Ventura to Oxnard. We are happy to work with you in any way that we can. Just click here for a Free Estimate.
We look forward to hearing from you!

Spring Has Really Sprung!

So many of us look forward to spring. It stays light longer, your garden comes alive, your heating bills go down! Even in Southern California where we traditionally enjoy great weather all year long, it all feels fresher and newer.  And it’s finally here!

The only downside to spring that we see is that often-dreaded spring cleaning. You can see really old pictures of people standing outside in their yards beating their rugs practically to death to get the winter dirt and smells out of them. Similar pictures will show you top-to-bottom house cleaning, so that everything gleams. Nice if you have the help or the time. But one thing you really don’t want to neglect is the way your house operates and looks. Neither is an easy fix once the damage has been done.

It’s generally agreed that rain gutters should be inspected twice a year. We’re just going to guess that you might have missed that one a few times. Now that the rainy season seems to have moved on, this is a good time to check it off your list. You want the satisfaction of knowing that they’re in good shape and functioning as they should. At the very least, sagging gutters will make your house look old and tired. Once you get this taken care of, you don’t have to think about them again.

And while you’re doing your sprucing up for spring, are you thinking of repainting your house? We’re happy to offer you gutters in over 35 colors that will match your new - or existing - fascia and walls. If you’re feeling a little artistic, you don’t even have to match them. Get out your color wheel and find a color for them that makes you happy. Spring is for happy!

Please give us a call at 805.267.6745 and we’ll come out and give you a free estimate on the inspection and the new gutters, if that’s what you have in mind. If we see a problem we’ll give you an estimate and fix you up on time and on your budget and with our guarantee. We won’t be undersold. No kidding.

And please make a note that we offer 24-hour emergency service in case the rains come back sooner than expected and you’re a little, um, under water.

We will meet all of your needs from Ojai to Ventura to Oxnard. We are happy to work with you in any way that we can. Just click here for a Free Estimate.

We look forward to hearing from you! And when you call, a real live person will be on the other end!

Gardening with Rainwater

Now that the rain has let up a little bit and you’ve had a chance to walk around on your squishy ground and check out to see how the plants are doing, have you noticed that they seem happier? Plants love rainwater. Why? Because of the ideal pH, lack of “hard water” minerals, additives, and conditioners, and the presence of beneficial nutrients.

In rainwater the pH is typically more acidic, usually between 5 and 7, than that of your regular water. Along with being better for your plants, it’s also better for the soil. And it contains dissolved nitrogen which plants thrive on.

If you think you’ve been doing your eco-friendly best by using grey-water (which is water from a washing machine or your shower or a bathroom sink) you might want to re-think this. It can have a pH as high as 10.5 once it gets to the garden depending on the types of soaps and detergents that you used. Use rainwater to flush out your soil and keep the pH balance in check.

Okay. You get it. But it rained and you didn’t collect any rainwater, so now what? Lucky for you, the rain isn’t done with us yet. You still have time to get a rain barrel or two. Or three. Please take a look at our Rain Barrel options and we know you’ll find a style you like. We’ll even help you through the rebate process.

When we come out to talk to you about the barrels, we’ll be happy to take a look at your rain gutters to make sure they’re operating as they should. If we see a problem we’ll give you an estimate and fix you up on time and on your budget and with our guarantee. We won’t be undersold. No kidding.

And if the rainwater works as well on your plants as we expect it will, you might want to think about showing some of them at the Ventura County Fair this August. Imagine... rainwater sending you home with a blue ribbon!

Please give us a call at 805.267.6745 and speak to a real live person. We offer 24-hour emergency service in case you’ve been a little, um, lax in taking care of your gutters.

We will meet all of your gutter needs from Ojai to Ventura to Oxnard. We are happy to work with you in any way that we can. Just click here for a Free Estimate.

We look forward to hearing from you!

It’s finally stopped raining, for now…

When we wished you a Happy New Year not all of us expected the rain to keep coming! But here we are and there it is. And how are your gutters holding up? If you haven’t yet gone outside and looked up at your roofline, you’ve got to tell us what you’re waiting for! Don’t forget that water damage to your home can be very expensive. And when that damage turns into interior mold, it also becomes extremely dangerous to your health. So just go outside and take a look and see that everything is functioning as it should. Please.

If you’re unsure of what you’re looking at, and just don’t know if your rain gutters are doing the job, give us a call. If there’s no issue, we’ll say it was nice meeting you and we’ll be on our way. If there is an issue, we’ll give you an estimate and fix you up on time and on your budget and with our guarantee. We won’t be undersold, and we won’t consider the job completed until you’re happy and satisfied. Everything in life should be that easy.

Please give us a call at 805.267.6745 and speak to a real live person. If the rain is pouring down on your roof as you’re reading this, remember that we offer 24-hour emergency service. Our raincoats are at the ready.

We will meet all of your needs from Ojai to Ventura to Oxnard. We are happy to work with you in any way that we can. Click here for a Free Estimate.

More than 30 '5 Star' Google Review!

Please take a look at our Rain Barrel options while you’re at it. You can save some money and add a new and inviting look to your home. And here’s a gardening tip for you: start weeding! With the ground this wet, the weeds will practically jump into your hands.

We look forward to hearing from you!
